I believe that life is a continuous learning, whatever one's age is. Presently, I am 47 years old but I still hunger for more knowledge. I learned about computer operations from my children, who gained theirs from their computer lessons in school. With the aid of the internet, I am now doing some self-study at home. There are indeed vast of information to search, more things to learn, and more knowledge to gain.
We had only a desktop computer at home when I first got interested in exploring its operations. I was amazed how it works. I watched how my children did their home works using the computer. I asked them questions each time something came out or was created on the screen. Then, when they had gone to school, I would try doing the same thing by myself.
We had no internet access then because we live in a remote area. When broadband package came in, I bought a prepaid kit from a network that I believed could give us internet connections in our area. It did not work. After a couple of months, I tried with another network. We even take our desktop computer outside the house to get signals but it did not work as well. When my children needed internet for their research works, we had to go to the city and rent a computer there. Those setbacks did not frustrate me. I was even challenged to find other ways to get us connected.
About a year later, my niece brought home her laptop computer. With her new modem (from the first network I subscribed to), I was delighted to know that it got signals in our area. With my Visa Card, I immediately ask my niece to guide me in buying a laptop. I had no idea about the types or brands of laptop in the market . I bought a new "plug it" Sim card from the same network. My children and I were so happy, we had internet connections with the new laptop. Although sometimes signals failed, we were still fortunate because not all places in our community can get access to that network.
My desire to learn got more intense. Through the internet, I can ask and get results about anything I have in mind. I can get in touch with my relatives and friends anywhere in the world. And now, I am learning how to blog, how to do data entry jobs, how to become a freelance writer and hopefully sooner or later, make money doing online jobs while I am at home. The lessons I learned from my children inspired me to go on searching for more, not only for myself but for them and for the whole family....

We believe on the same philosophy that learning is a continuous process and I'm glad that you're one of few parents I know who could proudly say that they've learned a lot from their kids. We really have to get out of our shells, being the one who would always imposed that we know everything, because that would the best way to liberate ourselves and satisfy our hunger to learn. Congrats! You are a certified blogger!
